That's a interesting question, a squeak may not neccessairly mean that you need new brakes. Sometimes it's just dust or a small piece of metal rubbing on the disc or drum. The only way to really know is to take off the tire to the vehicle and measure the thickness of the pad and the disc. If your pads are brand new but the discs are old, the discs may be below the Manufacturer threshold of thickness and may need to be replaced. Front brake jobs for a typical fleet vehicle such as a Toyota Camry, Chevy Impala, etc runs from $189-$229 depending on the parts that you use.

If it shakes during a specific speed (45-70 mph) then it is probably a tire balance issue. If the wheel shakes when you are braking, then the brake discs are warped and need to be corrected, if it just shakes then there's a bigger issue at hand. Bring it in and we can help you figure it out.
